This marks the second reported downing of an F-35, which is considered the “Crown Jewel” of the American Air Force. This advanced aircraft is valued for its stealth technology and its ability to remain invisible to radar, making it a difficult target. Colonel Ibrahim Zulfiqari announced that the jet was shot down over central Iran by the Revolutionary Guard’s advanced air defense system. It is believed the pilot was unable to eject due to the intensity of the explosions.
While the U.S. and Israeli military leadership have yet to respond to this claim, the Russian news agency Sputnik has shared images of parts of what is described as a $100 million stealth jet downed over central Iran. Some experts suggest the aircraft might actually be an F-15, but the situation remains a developing story.
