No Deal Yet! US–Iran Talks Collapse Over Oil Blockade, Talks Hit Major Deadlock
Alright, in the last 12 hours, what is the present situation between America and Iran? Let me tell you that, because many people messaged me asking that Iranians have already arrived in Pakistan, but there is still no news about the Americans.

So the ground situation is that we told you that the White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt had officially announced that Jared Kushner and Witkoff, two individuals, are ready and they will go to Pakistan and meet the Iranian delegation which has arrived and is being led by Abbas Araghchi, their foreign minister.
US Delegation Yet to Depart as Uncertainty Grows
Now this meant that things were going very smoothly, and even if the level was somewhat downgraded, at least a meeting was going to take place. But now the latest update is that, we have checked and no plane has departed from America yet. Neither Witkoff nor Jared Kushner have left, and they have not taken off yet.

And the major reason being reported is that there is currently a deadlock, and the formal negotiations that were supposed to happen, the second round that was supposed to start, does not seem likely now. Its feasibility and chances are gradually decreasing.
A short while ago, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reached the Prime Minister House where he met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, which is obviously the highest-level meeting during this visit to Pakistan.
But in the last 12 hours, Iranian media has officially announced that this visit will be kept strictly bilateral between Iran and Pakistan, and they will not meet the Americans. So they have refused to meet.
Trump Strategy Shifts Toward Economic Pressure on Iran
Now in politics, especially in international relations, it is observed who is eager to meet and who is not. Americans, including Donald Trump, repeatedly in the last 24 hours said while talking to media that Iranians want to meet. But here, they have categorically said that they are not interested in meeting.
Even though earlier it was announced that two people would be sent who would meet. But that meeting is not happening right now. But I keep telling you that situations change within hours. However, based on latest information and research, it is not happening. Americans have not even taken off yet, and even if they do, it takes at least 13–15 hours to reach Pakistan’s Noor Khan Airbase. So the meeting is not visible for now.
However, Abbas Araghchi also met Army Chief Asim Munir, where various proposals were discussed.
Hormuz Blockade Dispute Pushes US–Iran Talks to Breaking Point
Now let me explain the deadlock. The deadlock is reportedly over this issue: Iran is saying that first remove the naval blockade of Hormuz. Because this was not part of earlier negotiations, and America added it afterward.

Donald Trump’s strategy, according to analysts, is to fight this war economically instead of missiles, drones, and weapons. The idea is to cripple Iran’s supply chain and stop oil exports. Once Iran feels economic pressure, they will come to the table.
But Iran says if you want negotiations, first lift the blockade. Because only then oil exports can resume. So both sides are locked in rigid positions and unwilling to move.
Oil Prices Surge Past $100 Amid Rising Tensions
Oil prices have already increased. Petrol and diesel prices were raised, and international oil has reached around $105 per barrel. This is not good news for Pakistan. Previously oil had dropped to around $90, but now it is trading above $100 again.
During this period, Araghchi met the Prime Minister with a large delegation. But no breakthrough is visible yet.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei also confirmed that no meeting with Americans is scheduled. He said the visit is only for bilateral discussions, and nuclear matters will not be discussed as they are a red line.
CNN reported that mixed signals between US and Iran are nothing new. This has happened before denials and confirmations simultaneously but eventually talks happened.
Donald Trump said the US will maintain blockade until a deal is reached. Iran says lift blockade first. So that’s where things are stuck.
Turkey Remains Optimistic Despite Ongoing Deadlock
Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said he is hopeful about progress and encouraged negotiations. The Guardian reported that Trump has shifted strategy from shock-and-awe military approach to sustained economic pressure.
US Expands Military Presence Near Iran in UAE
The US is also facing costs. Patriot missiles cost around $4 million each, and large quantities have been used, putting financial strain on the US.
At the same time, reports say the US is increasing military deployment in UAE’s Al Dhafra Airbase, including fighter jets and tankers.
Iran claims it is producing over 1000 weapons domestically including missiles and drones, and has strong defense capability built over 25 years.
Iran also claimed control over the Strait of Hormuz and displayed seized ships. US Central Command said it stopped an Iranian-flagged ship from entering port as part of blockade enforcement.
Iran earns 80% of oil exports through Hormuz. Despite war, Iran exported more oil and earned around $5 billion in a month 40% more than before. This explains why the US imposed blockade to stop this revenue.
Iran executed a person accused of working for Mossad. Around 240 people were arrested in operations in Kurdistan and Kermanshah. Flights from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini Airport have resumed.
In the US, chances of Trump’s impeachment remain low despite public support, as Republicans control Congress.
In Lebanon, Israeli strikes
In Lebanon, Israeli strikes k*lled six people.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
There are also reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and is undergoing treatment.
In Pakistan, journalist Fakhar Rahman was arrested
In Pakistan, journalist Fakhar Rahman was arrested by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency for spreading fake news, despite claiming he deleted it and apologized. He has been sent on judicial remand. Several other individuals are also under investigation.
