Donald Trump: America has faced a blow of about $400 million
Alright, at the start of the week, I will update you on the matters between Iran and America. A very big news has arrived that America has faced a blow of about $400 million because one of their most expensive aircraft has been destroyed by Iran. This is very recent news.
Economy, Petrol, and Load-Shedding
- Petrol Prices: People are asking if petrol prices will decrease this Thursday. They should, as the previous decrease was very small.
- Stock Market: The market showed positivity, trading around 169,712 points.
- IMF: The government has decided to ask the IMF to increase the current $7 billion bailout package because of the impact of the Middle East war on the economy.
- Electricity: Load-shedding has become painful. The shortfall has exceeded 5,000 MW. Asad Umar tweeted that Pakistan has a production capacity of 45,000 MW, yet the public is facing load-shedding while paying billions in bills.
Furthermore, ‘drone attacks’ are also happening inside Pakistani politics, but these attacks are happening within their own party meaning the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). I will show you what further developments have occurred regarding Salman Akram Raja’s statement yesterday where he said ‘I curse these positions’ and the rift that has started with Aleema Khan Sahiba. Donald Trump & the Iran-US Conflict
Donald Trump has stated that they are not considering an extension of the ceasefire with Iran, and it might not even be needed. April 21st (next week) is the day the ceasefire was supposed to end. Trump said in an interview that the war is near its end and Iran is desperate for a deal. He claimed that in the next two days, an ‘amazing sight’ will be seen.
He also mentioned that the Gulf countries Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE were severely shocked and never expected Iran to attack them.
Pakistan’s Missile Test
But first, the news we want to share is that the Pakistan Navy has conducted a successful test of a locally developed Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile in the Northern Arabian Sea. Two days ago, we told you that a notice was issued by Pakistan regarding a specific portion of the Arabian Sea declaring it a ‘No-Fly Zone.’ This was the reason. It was being said that Pakistan might be going to test a missile, and that is exactly what happened.
The high-speed missile fired from a Pakistan Navy ship hit its long-range target with extreme precision. Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with scientists and engineers related to the project, witnessed the missile firing. The missile is equipped with an advanced guidance system and other features, and it has the capability to bypass enemy defense systems and hit its target with extreme accuracy. For Pakistan to conduct this test at this time is very significant, as the world’s eyes are on Pakistan.
White House Briefing & Mediation
Alongside this, a very important development occurred last night, and I think it must have felt like ‘knives to the heart’ for our neighbors. White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, during a media briefing, was asked where the next negotiations would take place. She said, ‘I’m glad you asked; I want to tell you about this.’
So, to all those whom I won’t name, who always doubted Pakistan’s value and especially our neighbors who spread propaganda and spoke nonsense the White House has rubbed soot on their faces. They made it clear that ‘Yes, it is Pakistan.’ You were jealous last time; stay jealous this time too, because these negotiations will happen in Pakistan again.
This news actually came from a Pakistani channel during Hamid Mir’s show Capital Talk where someone said that during the negotiations at the Serena Hotel, Prince Aga Khan said they would not charge for it as a goodwill gesture because it was a massive international event for Pakistan. The Indian media twisted this, claiming Pakistan couldn’t pay the bill. This was done deliberately to fool their public when they have nothing else to show.
The $400 Million Drone Incident
Regarding the major blow to America, CNN and other websites reported that the U.S. Naval Command announced that an MQ-4C Triton one of America’s most expensive drones has been lost. This is not an ordinary drone. It is so high-tech that only 20 exist in service. Its value is estimated between $200 million to $250 million, though some security experts estimate it as high as $400 million.
On April 9, during monitoring of the Strait of Hormuz, the drone was flying at 44,000 feet when it showed a ‘7400’ error code, indicating a communication failure between the drone and the operator. It dropped to 9,000 feet, gave a final signal, and disappeared from radar. It is being said that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard likely targeted it.
Russia’s Statement on Pakistan
In India, a Russian spokesperson was on India Today. The anchor tried to frame a question to get a negative response about Pakistan’s role as a mediator. However, the Russian spokesperson said, ‘We are grateful to Pakistan and value their role in creating an environment for negotiations.’ This was a blow to the Indian anchor’s expectations, considering Russia’s long-standing friendship with India.
Internal PTI Crisis & Aleema Khan
Now, regarding the chaos within PTI: Barrister Saif gave an interview where he said that Aleema Khan plays a huge role in PTI’s decisions in fact, she is the one making the decisions these days. He said party leaders are not able to make independent decisions. He claimed he is a witness that while in jail, Imran Khan said multiple times that Aleema Khan has no connection with PTI and the party should make the decisions. He suggested some people want Khan to stay inside so they can remain ‘leaders.’
Sher Afzal Marwat also tweeted, saying that the tongue with which Salman Akram Raja ‘cursed’ Aleema Khan is actually a curse on every loyal worker and Imran Khan’s narrative. He called Raja’s appointment as Secretary General a ‘weak and illegal’ decision that broke the party’s back. He demanded that Imran Khan immediately fire this man from the party.
Furthermore, Imran Khan’s lawyer, Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry, claimed that the legal documents (Wakalatnamas) sent to Adiala Jail for Imran Khan’s signature have gone missing. He has written a letter to the Jail Superintendent and the Supreme Court regarding this.
